These sleeping coaches were the first sleeping coaches according to a new construction. The coaches were constructed as Bauart 1928. The coaches were equiped with bogies of type "Görlitz II schwer". The coaches were the first sleeping coaches with the bordeaux red colouring and the well known Mitropa logos and the lettering of Mitropa. Until then the Mitropa coaches were green coloured with yellow lettering of another type. Many old sleeping coaches during that time got also the new livery of Mitropa.
