In 1937 Mitropa placed an order for two double stock sleeping cars, numbers 20 001 and 20 002. Due to the outbreak of the second world war the coaches were delivered in 1941. The coaches were the heaviest coaches ever built for Mitropa, the weight was 58,4 ton. The coaches were 4255 mm high and 26.000 mm long. The appearence of the coaches was similar to the skirted coaches, but of course the coaches were higher. They had two sleeping cabins on top of each other. After the war, coach 20 001 became the property of the DSG. Coach 20 002 remained with Mitropa in East Germany.`
