Coaches Bauart 1922

The coaches of type Bauart 1922 are almost the same as the coaches of Bauart 1921. The only changes of the coaches Bauart 1922 in comparison with the Bauart 1921 was that the roof ends existed of loose parts who were separately fixed on the middle of the roof. At Bauart 1921 the roof existed of one part.

B4ü-22

The B4ü-22 is originally designed and built to carry passengers from the ferries of shipping companies Hapag and Lloyd. Originally the coaches had 7 1/2 compartments, but it appeared that there was enough room for 8 compartments. The coaches had a length of 19.310 mm and a length of 20.610 mm, buffers included. In total there are made 15 coaches with 48 seats second class. The coaches were built in Fahrzeugprogramm 1922. The coaches had a weight of 41,3 ton and had bogies of the American type.

C4ü-22

The with the first series third class (C4ü-21/ C4ü-21a) coaches gained experiences leaded to an improvement of the construction of the coaches. For security reasons it was necessary to strengthened the sidewalls and the in between walls, it was also necessary to improve the ventilation of the coaches. This improvements originated in coach C4ü-22. It had a length of 19.310 mm and a length of 20.610 mm with buffers included. The coach had 76 seats divided up in 9 1/2 compartments. There are made 25 coaches of type C4ü-22, the coaches had a weight of 41,3 ton and were equiped with the American bogie.

C4ü-22a

As second delivery of third class coaches Bauart 1922, there were 20 coaches of type C4ü-22a built and delivered. The coaches were almost identical to the C4ü-22, only the weight of C4ü-22a was 44,5 ton. In 1938 the coaches 16 053-056 and 16 077 got a kitchen.
