Coaches Bauart 1928

The express train coaches of Bauart 1928 were a cooperation project between Linke-Hoffmann-Busch and the Reichsbahn-ZentralAmt. The coaches Bauart 1928 were an improved coach type in comparison with the preceding Bauarten. The total length of the coaches was 21.720 mm with buffers included, this length remained the same. By increasing the distance between the fulcrums of the bogies, the lean over of the coaches was reduced. Because of that the wide of the coaches could be enlarged to 2933 mm. The skeleton of the coaches was further improved. Because the entrance doors were parallel with the coachsides and stood 330 mm inwards, this gave the coaches a more stretched impression. After many tests with bogies finally they chose to provide the coaches Bauart 1928 with bogies of type "Gorlitz II schwer". The interiors remained the same in comparison with Bauart 1926.

AB4ü-28

The coaches AB4ü-28 had two compartments first class and six compartments second class. The length of the coaches was 20.420 mm. The coaches were equiped with bogies of type "Görlitz II schwer" and their weight was 45,4 ton.
