Coaches Bauart 1930

The coaches of Bauart 1930 had new corridors. The coaches had the same characteristics as coaches of Bauart 1928.

A4ü-30

Of the coaches A4ü-30 are in total 8 coaches built. The coaches had firstly 42 seats and later 28 seats first class divided over 7 compartments each 2250 mm long. The coaches had bogies of type "Görlitz II schwer" and had a weight of 47,3 ton. The coaches were of type "Hapag Lloyd". This meant that the coaches were mainly used to carry passengers to and from the ferries of shipping companies Hapag and Lloyd. To carry these boat passengers the DRG used special trains which consisted mainly of express train coaches first and second class.

B4ü-30

Like the coaches A4ü-30, the coaches B4ü-30 were also built to carry boat passengers. The coaches had eight compartments second class with in total 48 seats. The coaches were equiped with bogies of type "Görlitz II schwer" and had a weight of 47,0 ton.

Pw4ü-30

The luggage coaches Pw4ü-30 were a little changed in comparison with the preceding luggage coaches. Only the wide was reduced to 2784 mm, and the bent profiles of the roofs and the place of the extractor fans was changed. As far as the construction concerned, these was similar to the Pw4ü-28. The coaches had a cargo deck, a service compartment, two entrance compartments and four dog kennels. The coaches were 18.380 mm long and 19.680 mm long with buffers included. The coaches had a weight of 38,5 ton and had bogies of type "Görlitz II schwer". Coach 105 521 was set aside in 1934 and was transformed to test coach for the Reichsbahn direction München for tests on the Höllentalbahn.
