Coaches Bauart 1932

The coaches of Bauart 1932 had almost the same characteristics and features as the coaches of Bauart 1928.

The coaches of Bauart 1932 were equiped with bogies of type Görlitz III Schwer. The two test coaches from Bauart 1931 got for the first time bogies which were welded. Furthermore the DB ordered extra express train coaches because of the "Passion Spielen" which were organized from May until September 1934. These extra coaches were the Karwendel coaches of 1932. The coaches were derived from the Eilzug coaches of 1930. These coaches were equiped with welded bogies of type Görlitz III Leicht (two coaches with bogies of type Görlitz III Schwer).

The coaches ABC4ü-32 were part of the second serie of the so-called "Karwendel coaches" built for the "Passion Spielen" in 1934. The coaches were not welded and equiped with bogies of type Görlitz III Schwer. The coaches were longer and more darker colored than the Karwendel coaches of Bauart 1929. The Karwendel coaches from 1932 had a dark blue color with underneath the windows the color "schwartzblau", the color between the windows was cream.

The coaches were in service on the relation München-Garmisch-Innsbruck. The Karwendel coaches were also used in testruns in 1934 with the electric locomotive E 04 between München and Stuttgart. Later in 1939 a couple of coaches from 1930 were rebuilt for the first push-pull services in 1939 and 1940. These trains were pulled by the locomotive E 04 23 on the relation München - Nürnberg. Unfortunately there is only one vague photograph in the archives left.
